From one of the REACH Managers: Giving staff the ability to request alternative coverage on their schedule, and not just making it a feature reserved for picking up open shifts would be helpful for some staff and allow for more seamless utilization of the scheduling features for those that choose to use them to their fullest.

Allison from Punctual Pug - Basically what he's getting at is, after a schedule is published, if staff gets a last minute doctor appointment or sick kiddo, can there be a way for staff to inform the manager int the app by requesting alternative coverage for their already scheduled shift. Right now, if this happens, the staff just texts the managers and then they work it out that way. He's just trying to keep all scheduling communication inside the app. I guess for now, we could tell staff to utilize the shift trade option since that notifies the managers. The staff could work out the alternative coverage themselves and then trade shifts in the app and await manager approval...
